Meet Beatrice Cozzani, Guests Relation Manager and chapter co-leader of Raizup Italy.
What are your superpowers?
I have never thought about superpowers, to be honest I spent one Evening thinking about it.
Than talking with a colleague of mine, she pointed out how simple for me is listen to people, put them comfortable and make them wishes come true; actually I think that is probably my best superpower (don’t take me for conceited please). About that I adore seeing people smiling and observe them when they say “WOW”, you know they have a special bright in them eyes.
Therefore I really enjoy to figure solutions, transform issues in opportunities for my creativity and my growth too and also find out the best way to communicate to other people, keeping mind them emotions and feelings.
In conclusion (I don’t want to bore you) I appreciate that I rediscovered some months ago how amazing is to be multitasking, for me is a spectacular feeling, I am so happy to be focus on different projects and working and training to achieve multiple goals.
How do your strengths play into the work you do?
I tell you a secret, my dream was to be a lawyer, but during the university I realized how much I missed using my creativity and creating solutions suitable for any kind of requests.
Actually my strenghts help me to realize it, I take care of my Guests in a personalized way, I listen to them with my ears and especially with my eyes (I am not crazy); the real conversation is the one we make in silence.
Moreover they also help me to build better relations with my colleagues, in my opinion it is so important to be part of a strong and cohesive group, and to be united it is relevant to be much more empathic and good listeners.
Imagine your best hotel experience – what does it look like?
Since 2009 I work in luxury hotels and I cannot immagine me to work in a different context.
Actually for me it is essential to offer a 360 degrees assistance starting before the arrival at the hotel and ending after the departure.
Therefore I focus on a personalized experience, it makes the different as well as give to the Guests as much importance as we can, precisely he should feeling VIP and welcomed in all times.
What brings you the greatest joy at work?
There are many situations that brings me joy at work, anyway thI’ll tell you the best ever.
I really love when Guests smile and say me “Thank you”, I understand that I achieve a precious goal: I created a valued relationship!
I am so grateful also when Guests call the hotel, maybe some months after the departure and they recognise me. When they say “You’re Beatrice! We’re so happy to ear you”, itis like touch the sky with a finger!
Your advice for women in hospitality and travel-tech?
I really sugest you to do not stop to improve your skills, capacity and attitude; moreover set and achieve new S.M.A.R.T. goals.
